Meta Pixels and Meta Datasets

The Meta Pixel is a small piece of code that businesses add to their websites to track user interactions and gather data on user behavior, such as page views, conversions, and events.

Meta Datasets are sets of data that businesses can create and manage via Meta Event Manager. This data includes data gathered through Meta Pixels. Businesses can also upload their own data to create custom audiences and optimize ad targeting. Meta support documentation includes many explainers about Meta Datasets.

Meta Pixels (and the Datasets to which they add data) can be used to optimize your ToneDen ad campaigns directing to your website or ticketing platform.

1. Set up your Meta Pixel

For comprehensive information about setting Meta Pixels, please visit Meta's own support documentation here. In step 7, select "Meta Pixel only". Follow all other steps as directed.

2. Add people to your Pixel in Business Manager

Meta's support documentation has a thorough explanation of this step. In Meta Business Settings, click on "Pixels" in the column on the left, then assign the Pixel to your Facebook profile in the same way you added access to your ad account and page. Use the "Add people" button and give full access.

3. Configure your pixel.

Meta allows for automatic tracking of events on your website -- follow the steps here for more information on configuring your pixel.

4. When setting up a Facebook and Instagram Campaign on ToneDen, select the Pixel in the "Select Accounts" step.

Note: As Meta Pixels are a Meta product, our support team cannot provide comprehensive Meta Pixel troubleshooting. If your Pixel is having issues, we suggest reaching out to Meta Support to help configure or troubleshoot installation. If problems persist, reach out to support@toneden.io.
