Click Smart Links on the left-side navigation then +Create New Link Campaign on the right to start creating your smart link. This article will take you through the process step-by-step.
How to create a PodLink
Create a PodLink for a single episode or multiple episodes to get more podcast subscribers, listeners, and downloads across all platforms. It's easy to create a PodLink to direct your fans to their preferred podcast streaming service.
Select PodPage or Single Episode Page
Select Single Episode Page for creating a single episode smart link, or "PodPage" to create a link that contains all your episodes.
For single episode PodLinks: enter episode URL
If you input your podcast's Spotify or Spreaker URL, we'll instantly locate your podcast on other platforms like Apple Music, and other services.
Select services
After you enter your Spotify show URL, we'll auto-scan your podcast on other streaming platforms to include in your PodLink.
You can choose to exclude links to specific streaming platforms by toggling the button to the right of each service.Want to add more streaming platforms? Click Add A Service for more platform options. Other platforms include Stitcher, iTunes, YouTube, and more.
Customize landing page
Use this section to customize the look and feel of your landing page.
Input your podcast's title, description, and upload a unique image for your Featured and Backround images.
Here, you can also choose whether or not you’d like to:
• Redirect Viewers To Preferred Service: Automatically redirect users to the streaming platform of their choice if they’ve visited one of your PodLinks in the past.
• Sort Services by Click-Through Count: Choose whether you’d like the order of your displayed streaming services to remain fixed or shift-based on click-throughs. If checked, the services on your landing page will be ordered based on the number of clicks by visitors.
• Add Email Capture Form: Add a simple email capture form for your contact list
• Add Social Icons: Make the links to your social profiles easily accessible on your PodLink pageYou can customize the order in which you’d like streaming services to appear to fans. Hold and move the carrots to the left of each streaming service to arrange.
For PodPages with multiple episodes: episode generation
Select +Generate Episodes to automatically generate your podcast show's episodes. This may take a few minutes to generate. You can also manually add episodes -- select +Add an Episode to manually add any episodes.
Customize preview (optional)
Select a service on the dropdown so fans can preview your podcast directly on your landing page.
Edit metadata (optional)
Customize the title, description, and custom preview image (optional) for this link that will appear when shared across social media.
Modify PodLink URL
If you'd like your URL to have a specific name, you can change the short link information here.
Connect domain (optional)
We also offer the ability to add a subdomain, helping you brand consistently across your links. This will also provide you with the ability to promote your FanLink for custom conversions. Add retargeting pixels (Optional)
If you plan on advertising to your fans, add your retargeting pixels here. You have the ability to add the following retargeting pixels: Facebook, Google, Twitter, Snapchat, and TikTok.
To earn affiliate revenue on iTunes/Apple Music or Amazon, enter your affiliate code(s) on this page as well.
Retargeting allows you to serve ads directly to individuals who have clicked on your links in the past.
Review and launch
If you’d like to organize your smart links, you can create tags to easily group, search, and find similar links. We highly recommend link tags for those that create and manage a large amount of smart links.
After you've double-checked everything, press Create Link and you're good to go!
